Presently, Nicholas P. LoPresti, MD, Robert A. Allen, MD, Herbert B. Allen, MD, and Denise Mastromonaco, DO are committed to continuing the practice’s long and respected tradition of providing the utmost in General Dermatological care to the many generations of patients in the Southern New Jersey region. Nicholas P. LoPresti, MD (son of Philip J. LoPresti, MD, retired) graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Biology in 1991. He attended a Masters Degree Program at Georgetown University and went on to Jefferson Medical College where he graduated with his medical doctorate degree in 1996. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, during which he served as Chief Resident in Dermatology during his final year in 2000. He is Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He is presently a member of and has served as President of the Philadelphia Dermatological Society and is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Robert Allen, MD (son of Herbert B. Allen, MD) graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Biology in 1992. He then attended The New Jersey Medical School where he graduated with his medical doctorate degree in 1996. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. This was followed by completion of both his residency in Dermatology in 2000 as well as his Fellowship in Dermatopathology in 2001 at MCP-Hahnemann University. He is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology. He is presently a member of the Philadelphia Dermatological Society as well as the American Academy of Dermatology.
Herbert B. Allen, MD (father of Robert A. Allen, MD) graduated from The Juilliard School of Music and is an accomplished cellist. He then graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1970 and completed his Medical Internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. At the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, he did his Dermatology Residency and training in dermatopathology. He was a dedicated partner and physician at Dermatology Associates of South Jersey from 1977 – 2002. During that interval, he served as clinical faculty at the Dermatology Departments of the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Hahnemann/Drexel University Hospital, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. He then was appointed Professor and Chair of Dermatology at Drexel University College of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and was made Emeritus in 2018. His research interests have ranged from atopic dermatitis to Alzheimer’s disease, and he has authored over 100 research efforts that may be found on researchgate.net. He is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. We are delighted to have Dr. Allen return to our practice to resume providing his outstanding level of dermatological care.
Dr. Denise Mastromonaco is a third generation physician who graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1987. She then attended The Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa where she graduated with her Medical Doctorate Degree in 1992. She then completed her Medical Internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City in 1994. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and Dermatology. She completed her Family Practice Residency in 1996 at St. Barnabas Hospital and her Board Certification in Dermatology in 1999. She is currently a member of the Dermatologic Society of New Jersey, the American Board of Physician Specialists, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
Meghan Kelly, APN, FNP-BC graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2010. She then attended Thomas Jefferson University and graduated with her nursing degree in 2015. Meghan worked at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for nine years as a registered nurse and received her Master of Science Nurse Practitioner Degree from Drexel University in 2021. Meghan is a member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.
